I HEART Inc
aims to empower independent artists and their communities by encouraging the artists to use the resources at their disposal (their creativity and fan base) to contribute to charitable initiatives within their community. I HEART’s projects allow independent artists to give back while also exposing them to new fans as well as fellow artists who are utilizing their creativity to inspire change. In keeping with our mission, I HEART is currently launching it’s newest endeavor entitled Project Radio Heart, a program in which today’s up-and-coming artists mentor and educate tomorrow’s artists in a real-world setting. Radio Heart is designed to make a difference and shape the lives of underprivileged children in the Los Angeles community by providing a unique opportunity to experience a hands-on music education working side-by-side with professional musicians, singers/songwriters, engineers and producers at Dan Garcia's (Christina Aguilera, David Crosby, Toto, J-Lo) Radio Hill recording studio in Downtown Los Angeles. Inspired by the recent cuts to art education, especially in the inner city schools, Project Radio Heart aims to fill the void. Participating children will work alongside a singer/songwriter, instrumentalist, or producer/engineer to create a collaborative recording. Each child will be part of creating a song to be released (on a Radio Heart Records compilation CD) and participate in a benefit concert. 100% of the profits will be reinvested into another round of Project Radio Heart. We strongly believe that as a community we need to strive to make sure all our children have the tools to build a successful and balanced life. We believe that if you teach children to create, they will; show them the road to follow and they will take it; expose them to the world of art and they will see art in all they embrace.
